Our son John Samuel Oommen was born on the 18th of September, 2005. He had a couple of medical problems at birth, including sepsis (serious infection in his blood) and severe jaundice(ABO autoimmunisation for the medically oriented). He was also found to have a small hole in his heart (technically: Atrial Septal Defect/Patent Foramen Ovale), which requires follow-up visits to the doctors. However, we thank God that the latest check-up revealed that all is fine with his heart and John continues to do well. He smiles and gurgles responsively and is truly our 'little bundle of joy'.As of March 2006, John has started to crawl and now keeps us on our toes!
